For this project I brought in real marigolds, begonias, verbenas and amaranth. I intentionally choose flowers that had a unique appearance so that the students wouldn't be tempted to draw a circle surrounded by petals on top of a stick. The results were beutiful. They did amazing drawings that really showed the unique details of the flowers they were drawing.
