This was a really good project to get kids thinking about silhouettes and negative space. This project is also a really outstanding example of why it is worthwhile to invest in proper materials. The first three drawings are done with a brand of chalk that didn't have the same kind of pigment as the Crayola chalks below. The difference is really striking.
